Allopathy is also termed as western medicine. It is invented by Samuel Hahnemann in an early 19th century. He joins allos “opposite” and pathos “suffering” as a referent to harsh medical practices for this era which include vomiting, bleeding and administration of highly toxic drugs. It is based on the therapy that disease can be treated with drugs (in tiny doses) through capable of the same symptoms in healthy people as a disease itself.
